Well I have made it through one day of my weekend package. The hardest part was I was 'stuck' as it were in close proximity to a lot of students as we went to La Crosse in vans. I did alright in that I didn't have any break downs or even need to leave the group.
Tomorrow should be easier in that we are only with the students from 1 until 5. I will be, again, leaving everything in Dave and Rachel's hands since I don't want anything to do with it.
This week could be really bad for everyone involved. I need to find some way to get through AS2G Monday (since it may be the roughest) and also to get some experiments for my students. I'm thinking basic things like paper airplane building and the like, but if you have any suggestions (seriously) I would be willing to listen. What I have so far is as follows: paper airplanes, paper helicopters, straw towers, egg drop, toothpick bridges, tin foil boats, and tin foil water containers.
I'm seriously considering taking two nights off this week. I may or may not skip out on my weekend package at some point tomorrow if I get too uncomfortable.
Some of the staff is looking at going to Chicago again after the students leave for the summer, but I know that I am not interested in that. I need to go home and see Mike and my family. After a week or so of destressing, I'll head to Ames to try and get caught up on studying for my qualifier.
Well, it's about time to put on a DBZ movie and fall asleep. (It's 'The Return of Cooler' tonight).
