Soggy weekender :)

On Sunday I went to TK, dragging Hubby along with me to play a monster. We were a little worried that it wouldn't run, because the weather was so astronimically horrible, walking downhill was closer to mud surfing and we were missing one of the GMs.

But even that was not enough to stop us, and we set off into the rain to beat the crap out of zombies and hunt down a book-thief. The day was a bit miserable, especially when I discovered that my boots are in fact NOT waterproof. After stepping into the first muddy puddle that I came to. Wet feet all day for the win! :-/

The monster team were awesome - they managed to keep coming at us even though we kept throwing them down into puddles and muddy patches.

By the time we staggered back to the carpark, everyone was soaked through, cold and muddy, but everyone was smiling and everyone has promised to come back (though those that live further away have decided that will happen when the weather is more predictable, though this being Wales...yeah, good luck with that!) and the list is already growing for the adventure in January!

When we got home (after a stop at the pub for warming up) the muddy, worn kit went straight in the wash, and everything else has been draped over radiators in an effort to get it dry. And discovered that I'd lost one of my arrows :(. But just had a call from javez_tmf and he and Red Hot Ref had done a site walk and found it for me :) So I haven't lost £10! :)

A good day, even with the weather.
