HealthFAIL!!!

Last week I came down with 'flu. This is pretty odd for me, because I can't remember the last time it was actual 'flu rather than a heavy cold. I went climbing on Wednesday and "took it easy" - meaning I was probably working harder than before, I was just doing a colour I knew I was capable of climbing. I stopped climbing before I started (badly) shaking this time, so I am learning!

Thursday, I went to javez_tmf's and kit bashed for a new TK character. Another day will see the piece finished and ready to go. Only I wasn't really with it for most of the day, so it's a good thing I was there in a modelling/measuring capacity rather than a thinking/making one. Managed to get home, despite zoning out at 90mph over the Severn Bridge (scary) and pretty much went straight to bed. I was comatose for 14 hours.

Friday, Hubby had the day booked off anyway, so he made my Wave Serpent up for me while I kept painting. Again, I kept zoning in and out, and I want to thank him for being patient with me as I sat there, brush in hand, staring at my model occasionally while the paint dried on the bristles. In no way managed to get done anything near that I needed to, but I went to bed early again, and got in another 10 hours sleep, which chased off the high temperature which I had been running since Thursday morning.

Saturday was WFRP Day. Awesome good fun, even feeling like I was about to either vomit or collapse at the beginning. Perked up as the day went on, which meant I could get to the pub afterwards and give dang his present - a bottle of authentic Bugmans XXXXXX from Warhammer World :-). Home for pizza and a night on the sofa. We started watching the many True Blood's that we have stored in the digi-box. Highly recommended, just for the astronomical levels of Smoulder(tm) that the male lead gives out!

Yesterday was trying to catch up the painting that I'd failed at so spectacularly during my sickness. But I did have my appetite back!

Today will be the same, along with signing on. Yate in the rain. How astonishingly uplifting for my soul :-/
