Stuff and Nonsense. A lot of Nonsense...

Yesterday was Stitch 'n' Witch round at invisigoth51's. Cake and tea was consumed. And I completely pulled apart an enormous pillow cover that I'd knitted over the past 18 months as I'd not learnt intarsia by that point, and all the tensions were wrong. I supect that in a couple of months of use, the motif in the middle would have fallen out... But it's all balled up and ready to go again now.

Conversation topics of the night: who (and how) gave you the "growing up and sex" talk. Discovered that practically everyone had owned the Usbourne Body Book at some point. The winner was missing_a_chair with his Grandad showing him how to cross-pollenate flowers with cotton buds. Much shrieking with laughter happened at the_smut_fairy's description of an Archemedies Screw:- "You do it in the bath, and shout Eureka at the end..."

The only bad thing about the evening was me realising that I had probably consumed under 700 calories all day (including cake), and feeling a little dizzy. But it passed when I had another piece of carrot cake :-)

This morning I was so exhausted when I woke up. I really didn't want to get up. But I did, tea was drunk by the bucketful and now I am almost alive. Got the morning's work finished, so now I shall sit and clean up gedhrel's model over lunch.

I decided against going for this job at South Glos Council, because when I read the job description I was so vastly under-qualified it was funny. So instead, I'm sending off my CV to the Head Office of a Patents and IP business that's branched out to Bristol, looking for a secretary/audio typist for the Partner of the office. Much more my level, and I love audio typing, and it sounded quite interesting as well. Same money, too. So despite the fact that it would involve driving into Bristol each morning and finding parking near Prince's Street, for £22k I don't care... I'll look into parking season tickets again :-)
