What a day. Won't forget this one for a while. There are a few pieces of trivial news worth mentioning: Hildur and Hákon got the apartment they had been hoping for on Schönhauser Allee. The contract needs to be finalized, but it's pretty much in the bag. We can start painting and moving hopefully as early as the beginning of February, but no later ( Read more... )

After the hullaballoo of the first two weeks of this month, both here and back home, my life here has settled down into a rhythm I find very much to my liking. Last night, Amanda and I went into the city to see Philip Glass's opera Appomattox at the SF Opera. The opera was dreadful, but the evening was good, especially as we went to the upper Haight for crepes for dinner, where we met up with Jill and her aunt and uncle, who are here for a visit.
