Every time I tell myself to watch only one episode of Breaking Bad, I end up finishing an entire season. And that's exactly what happened: I just finished the mid-season finale of season 5. Now I have no idea how to pass the time or what to do with my life.
How the heck will I survive 'til August? *throws pizza over roof*
It's true. Breaking Bad has ruined me for other drama series. Now I can't watch anything on TV without spotting awful cliches and character inconsistencies and gaping plot holes. How often do we see cops who get shot or stabbed multiple times on crime procedurals, but after a short period in the hospital, end up walking away like it's nothing? I've said before that I have so much respect for Vince Gilligan and his team of writers, and it's not just because of their ability to connect everything together, but it's also because they're honest with their characters' experiences.
Like everybody else, I'm avoiding spoilers like the plague and I'm trying to lower my expectations for the last 8 episodes. Still, I have a really good feeling that Vince Gilligan and his team will not let us down. When it's all over, I really hope Breaking Bad earns the title of the "perfect" TV show. :)
