I got through to the midafternoon and then...it kind of all drained out of me. Yeah, nope.

And I got a message this morning; I'm needed for Team 1 in the game afterwards. Which I don't mind too much, but...my team were going to go out for lunch after...

I should go now but UGH.

Well, Team 1 are down a few players this weekend, so I'm up for playing.

Now I have to go for a quick run morning and evening to get my fitness back up. I should really be doing this every day but I am LAZY.

Played one game of hockey in goals yesterday and we drew 1-1. I let one through - it was a really solid goal and I didn't get my foot in place in time, so that was on me. But I also stopped about four others, including one where I was basically holding the ball out of the goal with my stick while the attackers were trying to get it in with theirs. ( Read more... )

Today is going to be rough. I woke up at 3:50am and didn’t quite get back to sleep again. So I started cooking tomato sauce, before pouring the chunked tomatoes into the slow cooker to stew for the next 12 hours. Hopefully will be good when I get home ( Read more... )

Due to a variety of reasons related to the competition and grading and school holidays, there was a friendly round-robin match for 4 C-grade teams this weekend. Club day yesterday, went and watched the 2nd half of Team 1 playing, all of the Team 2 game, and about 3/4 of Team 3 game.

Was nice to sit about and chat, catch up with people, and just socialise.
