I'm here
Well, I made it into Manhattan. I was so nervous the whole time after I got to La Guardia. It was almost to the point that I couldn't enjoy the ride into Manhattan from Queens. I kept telling myself that I should smile and be happy, but it was raining and cloudy outside, and I was nervous about meeting all my new friends and roommates for the summer.
Anyway, I got into the dorm with little incidence. The cab driver was really nice, and he drove right up to my door and helped me take the bags out. I gave him a good tip. I thought what the hell. He chatted with me on the way to the dorm.
It seems like there are 15 ASME interns staying in the dorms. I'm in the room with the guys--Colin is my roommate, and Adam is my suitemate and another is to come possibly. Everyone who I've met so far has been super nice. Really I couldn't have asked for better people to be with here.
Well, I'm going to try to find something to do. It's raining outside so no one wants to do anything really. We'll have to see bout that, though...
