I have to say that I'm thoroughly glad Meyer brought back the suspense for this one. New Moon was good, but it dealt so much with Bella's pain that there wasn't enough action for my taste.

So there's been a lot of talk about this series, and I have to admit I'm sorry I didn't pick it up sooner. I've always had a penchant for vampire novels (thank you Anne Rice) and I have yet to find a love story I didn't like.

I had high hopes for this book - I really did.  After Anne Rice's vampire chronicles, I've been hooked on vampire novels and unfortunately most that I've picked up to date just don't measure up to hers.  Including Dracula, although that might just be because I don't like Victorian literature in general.
