Walking in a straight line
My house is freezing. Seriously - England is so chilly. I feel like I have jumped head deep into Winter and completely missed Fall. yes, yes - I knew what I was getting into moving here and usually I deal with the cold very well - but it's just that NO ONE in England seems to have heating. It's crazy.
I had a really really laid back day. Went into College this morning on my bike. Rode along the Thames and saw some really cute Cob ponies out in the fields. Saw Chris again in the common room and we chatted briefly. And Pamela from my dept invited me out for drinks, but I said no. I think I am getting sick. I have been shivering all day. So eventually - after I rode my bike home in the rain - and when I got home - I fell into bed for a good nap. Up now - but still feeling icky. Damn.
In my department and meeting my mentor tommorrow. AHHH scary! Grad school finally seems real. And at Ox too. What the hell did I get myself into?
