OK. So language being a mutable thing, the meaning of words evolves and changes over time. I accept this, and since I use a fair amount of slang, I concede that a certain flexibility is desirable. Grammar apparently also changes over time, such as rules about possessive apostrophes vis-a-vis singular nouns ending with "s." Fine, whatever. ( Read more... )
