it was a word junsu understood - he knew what it was like to be half of something, of someone, of a life. being a twin meant sharing, taking part in junho's life as much as his brother took part in junsu's. junsu knew what it was like to split burdens, to share stories, to support - and in turn, junsu had never been alone. there was always someone to hold on to, someone who'd be there.
yunho had developed the habit of doing everything himself - he knew it would be easier if he didn't rely on anyone else: the work got done for sure, and less damage control. so yunho took it upon himself to handle everything his own way, simply because he knew no other way to be. problems were fretted over and solved quietly, responsibilities carried out and accomplished. yunho believed it was better to operate on his own, because it was easier to depend on himself.
junsu had a thing for being in the loop with anything that concerned yunho, not that the leader had always been inclined to share. but junsu bugged him anyway, because he couldn't bear the thought of yunho being alone.
yunho sometimes wished that junsu would quit being dependent on other people. he wanted junsu to understand that the world can be a crazy place - one should know how to stand on their own.
when yunho fell and broke his back during a rehearsal for the seoul encore concert, somewhere in the blur of pain and shock, yunho reached out for junsu's hand. (never leave me.)
after the hollywood bowl, junsu dodging fans and reporters after his so-called scandal with taeyeon exploded on their faces, the boys disappearing into the US, away from all the drama. yunho clapped a hand on junsu's shoulder in support, junsu looking into yunho's eyes with calm determination. (let me do this on my own.)
somewhere along the way, they learned from each other, though it wasn't something they noticed, much less actually known - the process slow and certain.
