Cho Kyuhyun: Singer, Super Junior Member (K.R.Y. and M), Band Magnae.
That's what his job description says. Kyuhyun does well with the first two items on the list, but has trouble with the last.
Kyuhyun gets along well with everyone, and he's quiet enough, serious and hard-working. But the magnae is also expected to be cute and squishable and disarming (he has several effective variations of 'disarming', oh boy, ask everyone), and the first two things always give Kyuhyun pause. He is not that good enough of an actor to pull off a decent semblance of 'cute' and 'squishable' (he is a singer, for godsakes), let alone have enough enthusiasm to actually try.
Another thing about being the magnae is that one is expected to give way to his elders and to always do as he is told. Kyuhyun is not the rebellious sort, but there are things in life a guy like him (good-looking enough - although rather skinny - and a tad smarter than everyone else not Shim Changmin) would do, like maybe handle Hyukjae's laundry (Kyuhyun's already had one near-death experience, one he doesn't want to repeat in any lifetime), or run errands for the entire population of Super Junior (he is still recovering, what. You don't seriously expect him to do all the grunt work around here now do you?) After all, Heechul is not always full of wisdom, and sometimes Kyuhyun gets confused as to who the hyung is between Ryeowook and himself. Kyuhyun speaks his mind when he knows he should, even if some people may not agree when a magnae has a stronger opinion than his hyungs (but they listen anyway, because everyone knows that Kyuhyun has better sense than most).
"Kyuhyun-ah," Donghae appears at the kitchen door, still sleepy-eyed, pajamas rumpled, voice just a little rough. He rubs his eye with the heel of his palm, reaching out for Kyuhyun with his free hand.
Kyuhyun is about to make some tea, but lets himself be pulled into the hug (which is way better than a mere 'good morning', but it's not like Kyuhyun would admit that to anyone). He smiles and leans into the embrace. "Donghae hyung."
"Sandwich," Donghae announces.
"What?" Kyuhyun gently extricates himself from Donghae's grasp.
"A sandwich," Donghae's face brightens. "I want one."
"Uh, okay?" Kyuhyun goes to check the pantry. "We've got bread."
"Thank you, Kyuhyun-ah!" Donghae smiles in that pretty way of his, seating himself at the kitchen table.
"For what?"
"The sandwich!"
"What sandwich?"
"The one you're going to make for me?" Donghae tilts his head in confusion, blinking as his eyes cloud over slightly.
Kyuhyun blinks once. "Oh, that." He shrugs.
He starts to build Donghae his sandwich after the tea is ready.
"Peanut butter, please," Donghae says in English, beaming at Kyuhyun.
Kyuhyun blinks twice. "All right."
Donghae gets his sandwich shortly after, and Kyuhyun deposits himself on his favorite bean bag chair, tucks his legs under for warmth, then drinks his tea. Donghae finds his way back to the bedroom, sandwich in hand.
Hyukjae approaches Kyuhyun. "You made Donghae a sandwich?"
Kyuhyun blinks in response.
"Can I have one too?"
"Sure," Kyuhyun shrugs, goes back to his tea.
Hyukjae looks at Kyuhyun expectantly.
"The sandwich isn't going to make itself, hyung," Kyuhyun points out. "Shindong hyung will be up in a few minutes, better secure your share now if you want to be fed."
Hyukjae blinks, then hurries to the kitchen.

"Why didn't you make Hyukjae a sandwich?" Donghae asks later in the van.
Kyuhyun raises an eyebrow. "Oh? I recall him asking if he could have a sandwich," he cracks open the book on his lap. "He never said that he wanted me to make him one."
Donghae's smile spreads, slow sunshine across the sky. "That's my boy."
Kyuhyun thinks that there are perks to being the magnae, too: Donghae tries to tackle him to the van floor in delight, which is followed by Eeteuk's sharp "be careful of Kyuhyun"!
Kyuhyun decides that his is the best job description ever.
