So...the good news about Harry Potter: the sixth book doesn't suck. Hell, it's probably one of the best in the series.
Bad news: The whole book doesn't really have a plot. It's just a massive set-up for the seventh book. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's kind of a disappointment to be fed a huge cliffhanger for an ending.
Good news: Rowling finally gave up making Potter an angsty little bitch...
Bad news: ...for the most part. There's one line that literally made me laugh out loud, when she describes the "scaly monster" that erupts inside Harry and makes him want to "jinx Dean into jelly." She didn't really cover what happens afterwards, but I assume he played some acoustic wand and listened to Dashboard, hot tears of sorrow cutting across his face like a razor across his wrist.
Other than that, though, my Harry-Potter-is-being-a-bitch sensor didn't trip much...good times.
Final Grade: B+
