Where, Nick, comes to a sudden revelation in the dead of night. All the maybes, the mighthavebeens, mighthavebeennots, all of it- it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter at all. Life is an equation of positives and negatives and it all ultimately balances out to zero. The mighthavebeens? They give you an experience- savoring what you have, and coloring it in. What we do is enriched by what we didn't do, and guilttrip-tripping and agonizing over choices made in the past is sapping away the vitality of the present.
And god, does it feel good to come to that.
