This is based on an awesome New Zealand movie of the same name by Taika Waititi, maker of Thor: Ragnarok, and he's involved in the production of this, so it should contain the same sort of humor. We just finished watching it and liked it. The executive producer was involved in the remake of Battlestar Galactica, the mayor played Darla on Buffy/Angel (though I think she's more like Anya), and it has pretty high production values. I knew nothing at all about this and stumbled upon it yesterday while looking for some movie trailers on the iTunes store.
