Olivia was trying to pick up on the language as well -- it wasn't smart to be so reliant on the datapad if you're supposed to be adapting -- but it's harder when you're not as familiar with the universe itself. She still felt like she was at a disadvantage at times when it came to knowing the universe and what to expect, but she was still learning, and that was the important thing.

She was actually on her way back from seeing Kaylee about the ship when she got sidetracked by the gardens. She hadn't seen this much green in a long time, so she stopped to wander through, taking in things as they went.

Becky was sitting there, trying to look up the plant on her datapad while walking through one particular plant. "kah-vah-am" she sounded out as she walked, not really looking where she was going until she connected with another body.

"Oh my god. So sorry. I didn't see you."

Olivia wasn't really looking either, so that was at least a point in Becky's favor off the bat. She steadied herself from the stumble, before nodding with a smile.

"It's okay. It happens."

"I was just... the flowers are so pretty... so yeah. Sorry."

She looked down and saw her datapad on the ground and bent over to pick it up, along with anything else that may have fallen.

Olivia crouched down to help her, watching the girl for a moment. She seemed a little out of place, so she might as well be polite. "I'm Olivia," she replied, extending a hand.

"I'm Becky." Shifting her datapad to the other hand, she took Oliva's hand and shook it back. "Are you from around here?"

"In a manner of speaking?" she said with a shrug. "I've been on Coruscant for a couple of months now, but I'm originally from Earth."

"Oh wow. I just got here a few weeks ago. I'm from Earth too. Delaware to be exact."

"I'm from New York," she said with a smile. "I've spent some time in Delaware. Really pretty state."

[spncrazyfan]

"I've been to New York a few times. Kinda crazy, but fun."

So what's next? Becky bites her lip and looks at the plants.

"You ever spend a lot of time here? I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I was told I don't get to take the knowledge back, but hey, can't hurt to try."

"I've done my fair share of exploring," she nodded. "It's good to know your surroundings, even if you're not going to be able to remember it later."

"Exactly. But I mean, I'm totally staying in the safe areas first. I need to know this place more before I start exploring in the not so savory parts of town."

Which will be when people should start worrying about her.

... Olivia might be worrying about her already.

"Not to be a buzz kill, but you still might want to take someone with you when you aim for the not-so-savory end of things. The buddy system isn't just for boy scouts."

Becky thought on that a moment, then nodded. "Good point. Everyone always needs a good partner."

"Exactly," Olivia nodded. "That's actually a pretty good way to think of it."

"I mean, every tv show or movie you watch, bad things always happen when the two main characters spilt up!"
