So much for my two cents.
Miss Gulch: I want to see you and your wife right away about Dorothy.
Henry: Dorothy? Well, what has Dorothy done?
Miss Gulch: What's she done?! I'm all but lame from the bite on my leg!
Henry: You mean she bit ya?
Miss Gulch: No, her dog.
Henry: OOOH, she bit her dog, eh?
-The Wizard of Oz
Constantly, I find myself stuck in conversations like this. I just *shake my head in disbelief* and look elsewhere for hope in
mankind.
When's the last time someone told you to hold your head high? I hear it all the time, but that's just because I'm in a
marching and music organization that demands perfect posture. For the rest of the time, I say hold your head wherever you want. Whenever walking to class, which is an extremely
obnoxious daily activity, I tend to look at the ground. Today alone I found a total of
eleven(11) cents! Apparently, those who watch their step discover new riches. Next time you see a sticker that says
Watch Your Step, maybe you should consider taking it more literally.
An extremely funny event took place today in my International Affairs class, which I thoroughly enjoy. My professor is probably about
60, but he's absolutely one of the funniest teachers I've ever had in my life. Well, he was standing alongside one of the side walls of the
lecture hall, talking about
NATO, and I slightly turned so I could look at him while he was speaking. Well, written behind him on the wall is a phrase that extends literally 10 feet. I EAT PUSSY! Well, people gradually start
snickering, and it finally develops into hysterical laughter. Our professor is looking at us like we're freakin' crazy. He had no clue, so someone told him to turn around. He turned back around and gave us a huge smile. Oh man, that's the only thing that kept me awake in class today.
Three words, my friend: Meet ... Joe ... Black. That's it. The only
movie in the world that makes me cry. It is the epitome of a beautiful film. Many bash it for the length and their opinion that it's just not good direction, but I beg to differ. One killer
score too.
