The repairs on the ship were getting close to completion, much to Heihachi's relief. Even the additional damage from the bombs had been taken care of, though getting themselves back into the air was going to be a risky business at best. Still, everyone had done the best that they could, and you couldn't ask for anyhting more than that.

He had been distantly aware that someone was approaching, but didn't pull his attenion back from the pipe he was welding until he felt a tap on the shoulder. Pulling his goggles up, he beamed brightly at Toshirou. "Hey, Toshirou-kun! Welcome back."

A quick examination told him that the boy had come back from the badlands relatively unscathed. A part of him was even slightly relieved that Toshirou hadn't been on the ship when the bombs staretd exploding. Seeing what had happened to Lavi was more than enough.

Toshirou didn't have time for small talk so he got right to the point. "Is everything ready?" He just wanted to make sure that the mechanic was with him on this, cause if Heihachi got cold feet right in the middle of their little scheme, it would all go to hell.

"Show me where you want the water to go, and then I'll be on my way." Toshirou knew he's have to move fast once he grabbed Ness and Tira. He didn't want anyone stopping them, or interferring before they'd even gotten started.

"Straight to the point, huh?" True, the water issue was the last big obstacle in the path of getting the ship back in the air, but Heihachi was still dubious on this plan...which wasn't really a plan at all, because Toshirou hadn't really told him what he intended to do. The only reason he was willing to go along with it was because he felt he owed Toshirou his trust after prying into his powers when he'd been asked to...and because they were pretty desperate ( ... )

"I don't like dancing around issues." He could tell Heihachi was still reluctant to go through with their wildly put together plan. But desperate people were willing to do anything to survive. Even reveal a secret they've kept hidden up until now.

Following the taller youth, he looked up at the pipe that was pointed out to him. Noting the size, he ran some calculations through his head. This wasn't going to be easy, but Toshirou hadn't expected it to be. The tiny helmsman nodded at Heihachi, and headed back inside the engine room. "Of course, I'm sure. I want to get the hell out of here before the Victoria II calls for backup and we all get arrested."

Watching his small lantern flickering dangerously low as the wind tried to blow it out was the only distraction Heihachi had to avoid falling asleep right then and there. Even while perched on the side of the ship with the threat of falling one hundred feet to his doom wasn’t worrying enough, and every couple of minutes he had to pry his eyelids back open with a sigh ( ... )

Toshirou did his best to ignore Tira's complaints about how cold the dragon was. It was ice, what did the girl expect? Seeing the ship in the distance, he directed Hyorinmaru towards the far side of the 4423 where Heihachi said he'd bee with his lantern.

He'd worry about the consequensces of his actions later, when they were back in the air. Right now, all he had to do was get all this water in the tanks, and try not to draw to much attention to himself. Shouldn't be hard to do, right? Toshirou snorted. Everone on board the ship would most likely panic upon seeing Hyorinmaru coming straight for the ship.

"Get ready to jump when I say so." Toshirou called over his shoulder to Tira.

"Y-y-y-eah!" Tira responded before a little sneeze came from her. She was FREEZING TO DEATH on this ugly little popiscle dragon. Her bare skin getting goosebumps and the corners of her lipstick green lips were turning blue. One thing Tira hated more than anything is the bitter cold, she couldn't believe how relaxed Toshirou is upon this frosty beast.

"S-shit! I-I-I need a jacket!" Tira grumbled as she tried to warm her arms.

From his vantage point, Heihachi could hear the commotion up on the deck. Sound carried well at night, but beyond sending his hasty message to Kambei there wasn't a lot he could do. With his ribs still injured, climbing back down the ladder and then working his way back up to the top of the ship would be too time consuming. In that time someone might get trigger happy and decide to take a shot at the dragon. Heihachi wasn't quite sure if that would actually hurt it or Toshirou, but the best he could hope for was that Kambei would keep everything under control while they got this water in the tanks ( ... )
