After learning that someone was trying to pry into her identity, Dahlia just couldn't let the panic spread. And since it seemed that little question was blocked from the crew on the Victoria II, no one would find it weird if dear old Rolo had a little... "accident."
He'd shut his mouth for good. And Dahlia would watch him in sadistic satisfaction as he took his last, miserable breath over his simply delectable chicken stuffed with steam vegetables and a side of peach cobbler.
Oh, and the pink lemonade with just a hint of special flavoring. It was a good thing the poison she bought this day took so little to kill..

How did she manage to track him down? Rolo wondered if she managed to see that journal post he put up - one no one responded too yet, much to Rolo's chagrin. He could have just ignored her, but Rolo didn't want to be checking his damn food every day to make sure there was nothing wrong with it. He didn't have the time nor resources.
Rolo sat up from his bed, making sure his knife was in his back pocket before he went to answer the door. He noted with a somewhat disappointed look that whatever she had, it smelled really good.
The door opened just slightly, enough for Rolo to stand blocking most of the entrance. He gave Melissa a slightly strained smile, not quite sure how to approach this. Potential killer, or was she really just trying to be nice.
"... Is that for me?" He tried to look surprised. "I wasn't expecting you, Melissa."

He had better let her in. She wanted to watch him writhe in agony and tell him what, exactly he did wrong: You do not screw with Dahlia Hawthorne.

...Hm, that was odd. For a minute, her body felt a little weird, like when the blood rushes to your skull after lying with your head off the side of a couch. Dahlia just brushed it off as nothing and placed the tray where Rolo said to, afterwards taking to sitting on the edge of the man's bed.
He was acting a little suspicious--it was kind of endearing, but she'd get through it like she always did. She twirled the handle of the parasol between her hands and shot Rolo a concerned look. "Is something the matter?"

He picked up the glass of pink lemonade, turning towards Melissa. That smile was still plastered on his face, but his eyes were another story, suddenly growing a little colder.
"You must be really thirsty, after slaving over that meal just for me. I'd feel bad if you didn't have a drink." He offered the glass to her, waiting for her reaction. Of course, she could refuse out of false kindness, or hygiene, but...
"I don't mind drinking from the same cup, don't worry. There's nothing wrong with me, after all."

"Please do not worry about me, sir. Ms. Andrews makes the most delightful beverages! They truly draw the crew to the deck! I had a drink shortly before coming here and I would not wish to ruin the one she fixed for you." Dahlia tilted her head and gave another one of her smiles. "I would never wish to spoil your meal after all you've done for me."
If it came down to it... well, there was a reason she brought her parasol with her.

"That's... I feel really bad saying this, but I actually did eat just now." Rolo decided to just send her off for now, preferring to live another day until he could really corner Melissa. Besides, if this stuff really was poisoned, she probably would end up pushing him to eat it. He set the drink back next to the plate of food, giving her an apologetic smile.
"I didn't eat in the mess hall, I brought my meal up here. I'm... really sorry though, this looks like such a wonderful dinner."

Sob. "I worked so hard on it... I-I'm sorry, I know this is silly of me." She stood, hands tight on the handle of her parasol. "I should leave..."

"U-Uh..." Wait, no, she was trying to kill him! He thought. Was she? How could someone like her really be trying to kill him? No, no, he saw her disappear with that damn jar of seeds! She was trying to kill him!
... Right?
"... Y-Yeah, you probably should." Rolo figured, at the very least, if he was wrong about Melissa, then he could apologize later for making her cry. Maybe he should just tell her the truth. Of course, why didn't he think of that before? If Melissa really was innocent, she'd laugh and drink the lemonade to show him that he was wrong, maybe after crying a bit at the thought that Rolo thought she was trying to kill him ( ... )

Dahlia's eyes widened, but she looked as though what Rolo said was funny. Confusing, but funny. "You thought I... poisoned your drink? I have been told some things, but never..."
Still, she moved her hand to reach for the offered item. "If it makes you feel more comfortable, I suppose..." But just as her fingers touched the glass, Dahlia let it slip with her lackluster grip and it went shattering in between them.
She then let out an ear shattering shriek.
"Oh nooooooo! That was Ms. Andrews' glass!"

Rolo continued to watch her, trying to see if she was going to do something funny. And it did, as the moment Rolo let go of the glass, Melissa let it slip and he heard it crashing to the floor. He tensed up, ready for her to strike, but -
"Aah!" Rolo recoiled back at the sound, a little shocked at how loud this woman was capable of screaming. Sheesh, it was just a glass! She was acting like it was worth more than her!
... But at least she took care of the poison, if there indeed was poison.
"D-Don't worry, I'll take care of this." Rolo was going to... somehow. He turned away for a moment, kneeling under the bed and feeling around for a dustpan and broom. Like hell he was going to risk touching the glass shards; Melissa wasn't off the hook yet. This only made him more suspicious.
Just... why couldn't he seem to figure her out?! She was more of a nuisance than Sync was!

It was just as planned, though (nevermind the fact that her plan was to poison him). It was a good plan B.
She continued to sob as Rolo turned his back to her, bent over in a perfect position. Dahlia reached her hand up into the top of her parasol, fingers grasping at something behind one of the wooden supports. She raised the previously hidden dagger over her head, the parasol gently rested against her opposite shoulder.
"Please... don't be mad at me..." Without warning, she stabbed down at Rolo's back.

Rolo almost wasn't quick enough; he barely had time to literally throw himself out of the way of the knife, but it wasn't in time to save him completely and he let out a sharp gasp when he felt the blade nick his shoulder, bringing an arm up to clutch at the wound. It tore through his shirt, but the wound was shallow enough.
But most importantly, he found out that he was right about Melissa Foster. Shit!
His free hand felt around his pocket for his knife, grinning as he felt the his fingers close around the familiar steel. Now all he had to do was finish her off - this really wasn't the way he wanted to do it, but he'd have to think of some excuse later.
Rolo stood back up, flicking his wrist to snap the blade in place and eye glowing, ready to freeze her in place so he could finish the job quickly.

Still, maybe that dinner was good for something. As quick as she could, Dahlia extended her arm holding the parasol and used it like some bizarre golf club, hitting the tray of hot food and sending it flying towards Rolo's face. It didn't matter if it hurt him that much, because she was on the rebound and running to try and stab him again.

The diversion was enough to break his concentration, the hot glow surrounding his eye fading fast. In desperation, Rolo ran at Dahlia, ready to knife her right at the stomach. Damnit, did she know about his eye too?!
Foiled by dinner. This was pathetic, even for him.
