It was making him nervous, this wait for the final decision on where they were going. Getting a route approved took time and effort, and if he wanted to keep up his good reputation, it meant that every chart had to be perfect. Unfortunately, navigation was a hit or miss thing and required more time than he was willing to admit. That was why he was in the office now (his until someone else came in -- it was really nice), drafting more charts in the dimly lit room than the ship was ever going to use in preparation for von Karma's every whim.
Itou had a lot of things in his mind, which made the task doubly difficult. He hadn't heard from Kristoph yet. It was almost enough to make him worry, but worrying for other people was not something that someone like Kamotaro Itou did (at least, not to his knowledge). He hadn't heard of Arthur, either, which annoyed him exceedingly. Then there was the small matter of his allies.
