Community lots crashing
Firstly, I apologise if this is answered somewhere. I tried searching but didn't find what I was looking for. But I've got a fever and have today struggled to understand the function of a simple door (don't ask, I'm just glad I was alone with no witnesses to my stupidity), so it's very possible I might have missed it. :p
Lately I've had trouble with my game crashing. It's always on community lots, never residential lots. At first it happened only with the one family so I thought there was something off with them, but now it's happened a couple times on other community lots owned by other families. I also thought it might be too many sims on small lots (it's a build-a-city challenge, so when I started it up all the businesses were on 1x1 or 1x2 lots) and that's why the game crashes, but it just happened with a newly started business with two of the family there and only three customers, on a bigger lot. I've also considered bad CC, but I'm pretty sure I haven't downloaded any CC for a while before this started happening. If it happened everytime I would understand it being bad cc or a hack conflict or something, but it can work perfectly fine for several visits, and then suddenly crash out of nowhere. Though I'm hardly an expert so I dunno if that actually means anything.
The only new hack I downloaded recently is this one:

I deleted it, and tried again without it, same thing happened. It's really annoying, cause if businesses don't work right, a build-a-city challenge is pretty pointless. It's happened both on owned business lots and regular community lots. It doesn't happen on every community lot, but it is more than one, and more than the one family it happens to. I haven't checked if it happens in other neighbourhoods yet, cause I don't usually play businesses, but I might have to try that if I can't find another solution. Mostly I don't want to find out that my neighbourhood is already borked if that is the case. :p
Oh, I did also download a couple hacked objects, the desk locator and a job noticeboard from MTS, but the crashing began before I got those, so I don't think it's related. Just figured I should mention it just in case anyone knows anything about those items causing trouble.
I just need advice on whether this could be a hack conflict, bad cc, or simply an overloading issue? Or advice on what I can do to figure it out. I play on my laptop and when the game is on, it can get pretty slow and I can barely have my browser up at the same time without lagging the game to the point of wanting to throw the laptop at the wall in annoyance. I've played Sims 2 for years though, and I've never had this issue before. Of course it's crashed every now and then, but never this often and never exclusively on community lots.
I have all EPs, and a few stuff packs, including Mansions&Gardens, IKEA, H&M and Teen Style Stuff.
