Hey there friends!
I have been so absent lately, and for that I am sorry. Here's what happened...
A couple weeks ago I woke up with a terrible pain in my side. It hurt so bad I was screaming and puking and I had to call my mom because I thought I needed to go to the hospital. I wound up having o wait until the next day to see a doctor and apparently I have stones in my gallbladder. It was a homeopathic doctor and she gave me some things to take that were supposed to ease the pain and wash out the gall stones.
Well, for a couple of days I thought I was getting better, and I did go to work a day or two later. For the most part I was able to get through the day (until I was moved to operate the ferris wheel, which made me nauseous), but then the next day I was SO sick and in SO MUCH pain, I had to call my parents telling them that they needed to take me to the hospital.
When I was in the ER they did a sonogram and apparently my gallbladder was inflamed and I had high liver enzymes. It turns out that I had a bunch of my gallstones stuck in the tube leading to my liver which was stopping it from working properly. My gallbladder was also infected and FILLED with gallstones, so the doctors decided that it had to come out.
So I was admitted, and the next day I had to have a procedure (some thing where they put a tube down my throat) to get the stones out. A day later I had the surgery. I was in the hospital for three nights and luckily my recovery time is short so I should be back to work on either Wednesday or Saturday.
I am doing much better now; still a little sore but it is definitely manageable. I have been staying at my parents house while I recover and it a good thing because I think that my mom really misses having me around (she really doesn’t like being a empty nester). We’ve had lots of time to hang out.
So, yeah. Sorry I haven’t been around, but after the surgery I have just been so tired. I am gonna try to slowly get back into the swing of things and post more.
