I got quite spoiled at Carleton, as the campus computers had the Russian grammar- and spell-check tools available. My lovely $7 Office 2007 does not, alas, have them. I've been fighting the Microsoft pages for a while trying to figure out how to get them. We'll see.

I LOVE my new computer and my RED mouse.  And I have stayed up much too late.  But I'm happy.

Turns out, my (old) computer isn't totally dead.  The hard drive, now that it's been put into another computer, is alive and kicking.  Which means...I can save all of my old data.  I'm so relieved.  I mean, I'd hate to lose that paper I wrote for Biochemistry.  Or the list of books we donated to the library last year.  Seriously, there were a few ( Read more... )

I have a fancy, new computer.  What fun!  The Bryant reconditioned one that I've been using died two weeks ago.  The screen just went black and now it will do nothing but run its little fans.  So I have been computer-less for a while.  Writing my Ehrlich paper sans computer was a bit painful.  I wrote it long hand and then typed it all in one go on ( Read more... )
