I am sitting at my computer at the dining room table ostensibly working on my annotated bibliography that is due tomorrow. In actuality, I am reading Perez and lolcats and Russia Today and pretty much anything that is not related to my annotated bibliography.
Not that I have anything against my annotated bibliography. I have, in fact, a great interest in my topic (the Flexner report). I just don't like that whole writing part. Even though the writing for an annotation is far less involved than the writing for an actual paper. This is where I fail at academia. I like to read things; I hate writing/talking about them. And an annotated bibliography is really a big (well, little) analysis of each source. Gag me with a spoon.
My other task for class tomorrow is to read
Stiff, by Mary Roach. I'm having no trouble with this part. It's just the whole discussing thing that causes me problems. Blah.
