On Sunday,I picked up the first volume of Death Note on DVD. I have been hearing about this anime for months now and I finally got a chance to see what it's about. Death Note is the story of Light Yagami, a very smart high school student living in Japan. One Day, He notices a notebook with the words "Death Note" on the cover. At first, he doesn't pick it up but he eventually does. He opens the book. The first page of the  notebook is detailed instuctions on how to use the book. These are VERY detailed instuctions so I will give you the gist of it.: Write a name of a person in the book and 40 seconds later, he or she dies! If you just write the name, that person will die of a heartattack. If you write how that person dies, that person will die in that fashion. Light decides to test it out on a criminal who is holding people hostage.  40 seconds later, The criminal dies of a heartattack. He begins to use the Death Note on other criminals, which catches the attention of the various law enforcement  organizations around the word. A conference was held to decide what should be done about the sudden rise in heartattacks among criminals.  Luckily for them, L,the world's best investigator, agrees to find who is responsible. The interesting thing about L is only one other person knows his actual identity.  The show focuses on Light useing the Death Note to create a ideal world and L trying to figure out the case. I think I did a decent job explaining the show without spoiling it for you.  The first volume is out now with vol. 2 coming out in mid December. I have made  a goal for next year to watch more anime. There are a couple of other anime series  I am interested in seeing. In related news, I finally ordered the first 2 volumes of the Hellsing manga. I already have the complete anime series and the 1st 3 Hellsing OVAs. It's about time I get the manga too.

I am not a big fan of shopping. I am a guy and shopping is not a guy thing to do. I do like however finding a good deal on stuff, especially if it's for myself or family. I was able to get my mom 2 seasons of M*A*S*H for the price of one. FYE was having a BOGO sale on TV on DVD. They still might have it so check out their website to see which series are part of the BOGO. Gamestop is also have good deals too. Used systems are on sale at reduced prices. Also if you trade in 5 or more games, you get 40% added to the total of your store credit. I had traded some games I hardly played. I was able to get Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSP and the guide for it with my store credit. If you need to do some holiday shopping done soon, Check around the net for good deals.

I was going to keep writing but I don't want to bore any of you but I hope you have enjoyed what I did write.
