I have been playing other games than Mass Effect recently. I sent back Velvet Assassin and Forza Motorsport 3 to Gamefly. I received Battle Fantasia and Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing. Battle Fantasia was the first game to use 2D gameplay with 3D graphics. Unfortunately, This game is not as good as Super Street Fighter IV. There are not a lot of characters and their character designs suck. I am going to send this back to Gamefly. Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing is a lot of fun. It's a cart racer starring Sonic, Tails and other Sega characters. In the 360 version, You can play as your Xbox Live avatar. Also, Banjo and Kazooie are also 360 exclusive characters. The tracks are based on levels from classic Sega games. The racing is a lot of fun with the various power ups and the drifting. I have mainly played the single player modes. I might get this game eventually.
On Sunday, I found Tekken 6 for the 360 for only $10 at Target. I traded in my PS3 version a while back but I missed playing this game. Playing this game with the 360 controller is tough but I'm adjusting. I am having fun playing the Scenario Campaign again. I have played a couple online matches and I suck. Also, It seems that the online community in the 360 version of this game is dead. I have mentioned Tekken 6 a lot when I had it on the PS3 so I will move on.
The final game I am playing is Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. It's a downloadable game starring Lara Croft in a game style that is different from the Tomb Raider games. This change in gameplay style is the main reason that the Tomb Raider name is not in this game's title. Also, It is also the first Lara Croft game with 2 player Co-op. Player 2 will take control of Totec, a Mayan guardian. There are points in the game that both players will need to work together to solve a puzzle in a level. In the single player version of the game, levels are adjusted for Lara to solve the puzzles by herself. She also gets Totec's spear to use. Here's a quick look of the game from Giant Bomb:
Currently, There is only local multiplayer in this game. Online multiplayer will launch when the PSN and Steam versions of the game are released on September 28th. I have only played this by myself and this is a fun game. I am not that far but I know that I will play this a lot.
That's my non-ME gaming update.
