A entry full of massive randomness

I know that I haven't posted here in a couple of weeks. I have been busy. Since the last entry, I have bought Mass Effect 2 and beaten it. The ME games might not be as long as regular RPG but most of the time in regular RPGs is level grinding. You can get bored of standard RPGs if there is a LOT of level grinding and item management. A good portion of the RPG elements from Mass Effect are not in Mass Effect 2. This is a good thing in my opinion. It means that you spend more time in the game fighting off enemies and experiencing the awesomeness that is ME2. The game is set 2 years after the first one. A new race of aliens known as The Collectors threaten the galaxy and it's up to Commander Shepard. Shepard must recruit a new crew to help him/her to stop the new threat. I could go on and on about this game but I want to type about other stuff. Here are some pictures of my character,Sera Shepard, in ME2. One of the cool things about ME2 is that you can customize the look of your armor in this game. Instead of full sets of armor that give you stat boosts, You can get pieces of armor that will boost your stats.

Here's the look I created for my Shepard early on in the game. Towards the end, I made a cool all black look to reflect my Renegade attitude. Your character will get scars when you become a Renegade.

A close up look at Sera. I didn't change a thing about her. The graphics of ME2 are improved than in the first game.

Even though I had the PS3 version of Dragon Age : Origins, I still got the Blood Dragon Armor in Mass Effect 2 for the 360. The only drawback is that you can't take the helmet off. This armor is cool to wear in bad environments since you and your squadmates have their helmets on during those missions.

Overall, I really enjoyed Mass Effect 2 and I think every gamer who likes RPGs should try this game out. When you finish the game, You should definitely listen to the spoiler episode that Interactive Distractions did on the game. It's FULL of spoilers, tangents, and other funny stuff.

Here's the website where you can listen or download this special episode. It contains spoilers so don't listen to it UNTIL you have at least finished the game once.

Here's a VGEVO blog post I made about the game's DLC, basketball games and XBLA's Game Room. It doesn't contain any spoilers to the game's main story so it's safe to read.

Since I have finished my first playthrough of ME2, I picked up NCAA Football 10 for the 360. I have played a lot of demos to football games recently. I felt like I needed a actual football game but didn't feel like spending $60 on a brand new one. I have played 4 games so far and won only one. I'm a bit rusty so I know I will get better at picking the right plays and scoring points.

Finally, I will recommend a awesome podcast about gaming to check out. It's called the Giant Bombcast. I posted a couple of their quick look vids in previous entries. These vids are a great way to find out if a game is the right one for you. They also do quick looks on the latest Game Room releases. I would suggest watching them even if you don't have a 360. Those vids are entertaining. The Giant Bombcast covers the usual gaming news and new releases but in a funny way. One of the funniest segments is when Jeff Gerstmann reads the descriptions for the latest Wiiware and DSiWare releases. It's odd that some of these games actually exist. Here is a link to where you can listen to or subscribe to the Giant Bombcast.

That's all I can think of posting here for now.
