Friday night, we did FDF and there was much tastiness. After, there was Bunker, which was less tasty and more chewy, but not meaty tasting.
Saturday, I slept in and bummed around, drove
chowyunsmut to work and organized some music files on the new behemoth hard drive I received for my birthday. Consequently, I named the new hard drive BRAAAIIINS, as it will be the resurrected vessel of the long-lost music collection (that was lost in the great HD Disaster of '02 (I think)).
Saturday night,
thegodofthor and I participated in the biggest, wackiest event I've seen in quite a while: the
Midnight Ridazz Midnight Summer Bicycle Ride. Hundreds upon hundreds (mb 1000?) people of all shapes and sizes gathered at a park in North Hollywood with bicycles of all shapes and sizes with all sorts of wacky gear and we rode 20 miles around North Hollywood, Burbank, and Hollywood while completely taking over the streets. We garnered the attention of Burbank and LAPD's, as hundreds of people on bicycles riding through the city in traffic might; they even brought out the helicopter. Towards the end of the ride, the police attention became a little more than either he or I could bear (what with the bullhorns, spotlights, and a rider being pulled from the crowd and shaken down at one of the many 7-11 pitstops), so we broke off from the crowd and found our way back to where the car was parked.
It was seriously crazy.
We got back to the house around 130a or so after grabbing a quick snack. I crashed in the valley and woke up at 8am to do it all over again. The Sunday ride was short and sweet, punctuated with a pit stop for breakfast.
The best part of all of it: I rode both days on my shiny, new-to-me, beautiful bike that
thegodofthor rebuilt especially for me. He did a wonderful job and the bike was positively perfect; it's as if it was designed just for me. Thank you Thank you Thank you!
While we were riding, music files were feverishly transferring back and forth between my new HD and the NH archive. At long last, the only archive of my lost music collection comes back to me. *glee!* I spent Sunday evening being OCD and organizing music files. It was positively glorious.
Hope y'all had a great weekend.
