Coming up Next and a Call for Volunteers
The Quill will be taking a break from our regular features until the luau is over (and its mod moves). Feel free to still use the site for beta requests and anything else you would like to share in the meantime. After that we will be back with sapphire_child’s The Art of Writing Claire and haldoor’s thoughts on how music inspires writing. Plus siluria has graciously volunteered to run a Great Minds Think Alike? prompt on a regular basis.
We are always on the look out for people who would like to discuss writing topics that are not fic specific. So if you have an idea, let me know. If you need to check out what has already been discussed, see our table of contents.
Let me know if you are interested in hosting “The Art of Writing...” for the following major characters who have yet to be profiled: Sun and Jin, Locke, Richard, Rousseau and Alex, Rose and Bernard. Also up for discussion are the characters who usually have a lower profile in fic and therefore are best handled in broader groups: The Tailies, The Others, Dharma, The Parents, Love Interests, Minor Players etc. Once every character ever seen on screen has been portrayed, we can move to ahem...Nikki and Paulo.
I know we have a lot of shippers around - so I thought we could open up a variation of “The Art of Writing...” a certain character and have instead, “The Joys and Pains of Writing...” certain pairings - both canon and cult.
So regarding any of these ideas, comment here to claim a topic/character/pairing now and we can work out when you would want to post this. If there are multiple requests for the same thing, it might be possible to share responsibilities.
One final request: I’m looking for writers currently active in Lost fandom for the community’s monthly interview. Please comment here if you would like to be interviewed soon. Don’t be shy!
