Fic recs!
Okay, so, I have been whining recently about secondary characters treating Dean like the 'dumb one' all the time, and how that sucks like a sucky thing. Then I read The Second Law of Thermodynamics by impertinence and it made everything better. We know, from Dean's ability to turn a tape player into an EMF, that Dean has some skill with electronics. What had not occurred to me, was the idea of teenage!Dean spending most of his time tinkering with electronic devices he had taken apart to rebuild. But it makes sense! He must have taught himself at some point! And then Sam tries to convince geeky!Dean to tutor him in engineering. Which, obviously, leads to wincest. This fic is a thing of shining beauty that everyone needs to read. I don't think I've ever wanted in Dean's pants more. Which possibly says more about me than it says about the story, but whatever. If you have not read it? Read it. Mmmm... geeky!Dean.
I also recently read This is How You Set a Table for Tea by unperfectwolf (ahaha, really, my reccing just shows how behind the times I am, doesn't it? Wevs, good fic written months ago is still good fic), which is a gen fic about Agent Henricksen and Jo meeting while Henricksen searches for Sam and Dean and asdfhjkljfd fabulous. Okay, so it's possibly I have a thing for outsider POV. And stories about Agent Henricksen. And stories in which minor characters meet up with each other independently of the major characters. So basically this story is hitting about as many of my gen-fic buttons as it could. So good. Why are there not more stories about Agent Henricksen? I want to read about Agent Henricksen!
And vorpalblades recently finished her WIP Intimations of Morality which I have been stalking for months. It is amazing. And dark. So, you know, if you have an aversion to copious amounts of death, I would avoid it. But seriously. Don't avoid it. Also, her wincest is hot like burning, which is ridiculously unfair, as it's the first time she's written slash porn, and I'm pretty sure I couldn't write porn that hot if I practised for months, but still. Mmm. Sam. Dean. If you at all fond of evil!Sam I don't know why you are not already there. Just. Go. Read. It is good. (Yeah, it's possible I'm a little in love with the story. I am just trying to share the love with you! Reeeeeead.)
And if you can't be bothered with pre-series schmooness, or genfic, or long plot-y fic, and just want to get straight to the sizzling hot porn, then thenyxie has written Like Staring Into the Sun and its sequel Gravitational Collapse both of which are Sam/OFC/Dean fics which are so hot I am kind of having trouble thinking about them without my mind derailing. If you have any love for threesomes, or conduit fic, or UST, or toppy!Sam, or really, really hot porn, you will like these stories. And I hear she is planning another sequel which is Sam/Dean. Which I am looking forward to a lot. Mmm. Porn.

It's probably unlikely that anyone in the SPN fandom reading this has not already watched Fit But You Know It by deirdre_c, but on the off chance that you haven't: GO. WATCH. NOW. I challenge SPN fen to watch this vid and not be laughing out loud by the end. I do not think is is possible! Dean's fit, but my gosh, don't he know it. *snickers* I love drunken!Sammy more than I love AIR. Which is good, because the first time I watched this vid I spent most of it laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. ♥!
