Also, upon rewatching, Dean coming over to ask what's wrong is v. pleasing

It's like they're pretending to be grown-ups now! I was pleased.

THE PERSONIFICATION OF WAR FINDS SAMMY ADORABLE. TRUFAX.

Re "I did it all for you" remember that Castiel called Sam's phone, not Dean's. He is pretty grumpy at Dean right now! (LOL, as per our previous conversation about Castiel getting grounded in the Jimmy episode, it's like now he's been disowned and kicked out on the street all for the sake of the bad-boy down the block who is totally smitten with his girlfriend anyway and doesn't even caaaare. Poor Castiel! Sucks to be you. Your rib carvings are mighty fine, though; have you considered an exhibit?)

I find the entirety of your last paragraph to be trufax. Dean/Castiel is really ridiculously unrequited and I love it anyway. ♥

It entertains me!

It's just awkward because half of my flist is all GOD CASTIEL JUST GTFO and it makes me sadface - I have this whole weird fandom meta in my head about how shipping Sam/Dean and Dean/Castiel is like being bisexual, and the crap you get from both sides, and how the fact that I ship both but pretty much only write Sam/Dean is like when I have a boyfriend and can 'pass' for straight, and, um. Possibly I am the only one who finds that metaphor lulzy, but I am tempted to write up a post on it anyway.

I find that metaphor to be exceedingly lulzy. And there are all these arguments about why the other side is bad and wrong and shouldn't be allowed to adopt children >:|

It is a weird feeling seeing them actually discussing their feelings! I kind of half expected it to deteriorate into something like their emotional-maturity!fail argument from MATEOTB. "It makes me feel frustrated when you say things like that. >:("

OF COURSE HE DOES. It is like war is a big scary awesome lioness who's been out hunting all day, and Sam is a lion cub who keeps pouncing on the lioness's tail and is so very wee and fierce! Rarr. (I mean, look at the amount of death and carnage war has caused, and look at the amount of death and carnage Sam has caused, and then Sam threatens to kill War? Ahahaha, ADORABLE. *pets Sam*)

Clearly Castiel's only hope now is to angle for a threesome. Or possibly try to set Sam up with the Impala and steal Dean away for himself, AS WE ALL KNOW SAMPALA IS CANON. (Everyone saw that caressing. They can no longer deny the epic romance!)

Aha, you make me want to redo the Sampala montage vid from the capslympics to incorporate this touching new ~evidence~!

Wee!fierce!cub!Sam is PRETTY DAMN ADORABLE, gotta say. War should take him home and adopt him and pet him! (Sammy was pretty undeniably adorable through that WHOLE SCENE, after all. War is clearly a good influence! Or, uh, something.)

I THINK YOU SHOULD WRITE SAMPALA FIC. DON'T PRETEND YOU WEREN'T PONDERING IT IN TREE'S REACTION POST. :P

YES. :D

War is clearly a good influence! Or, uh, something.
Y'know, actually, War said exactly the right things to make Sam assess himself and come to what is probably a pretty healthy decision to take a step back from hunting. I am now choosing to believe War actually really does like Sam, and chose to say what he did because he knew being more conventional about his intervention ("Sam, you have a problem.") would have gotten him nowhere. So he was an asshole instead, because he knew it'd work, and really he has Sam's best interests at heart.

Ahaha, now I am picturing a world where the horsemen of the apocalypse all really like Sam, and every now and then one or another of them stages an incident that the Winchesters would come and try to deal with, just so they can lure Sam there to give him a pep talk. And Sam never ( ... )

All the higher ups are fond of Sam because Sam let Lucifer free! Ruby said he'd be rewarded. Lucifer wants to take Sam out for ice cream and is very put out when Sam yells and tries to exorcise him instead.

Sampala is about the only smushed pairing name I can stand. LOLOL. Poss. because it is inherently capslocked in my head, and capslock is like a mystery spot - WHERE THE LAWS OF FANDOM PHYSICS HAVE NO ~MEANING~.

Plus, the Horsemen can see inside Sam's head, right, and they enjoy perving on all the incestuous thoughts he has about Dean. It probably reminds them of themselves at a younger age! Aw, wee Horsemen of the Apocalypse incest!

Aww. I want nothing more than a bunch of evil demon-y types being all "What up, Sam! :D Let's hang out!" and Sam being all "DDDD: GTFO"

CAPSLOCK MAKES EVERYTHING OKAY. IT IS TRUE. \O/

...DAMN YOU, I NOW WANT HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE 'CEST.

Who wouldn't enjoy perving on the inside of San's head? :D
