Grey-a-Day: Greyhounds in Film
"The Mighty Celt" is a 2005 coming-of-age film about an Irish boy (played by Tyrone McKenna) who trains a "loser" racing greyhound to earn its ownership. While the film is more brutal than most boy-and-his-dog stories the final message is full of hope and there is a happy ending. Oh and Gillian Anderson (of X-files fame) plays the boy mom! -

You've probably heard the song "Mrs Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter" but did you know it was also the title of a movie - that featured a Greyhound named "Mrs Brown"!

Since I finally had a quiet night in for once I decided to chill & watch a movie.
One of the movies I'd been wanting to see is the 1967 version of Casino Royale.
Dunno how I missed that one since I get a kick of wacky 60's films and thought I'd seen 'em all but I guess I was wrong.
But how wrong that damn film was!

I braved the Snow Globe World-like weather earlier today to meet up with the manpanion downtown for an advance screening of Gnomeo & Juliet (the project he worked on before the current gig)
It has a Toy Story-meets-Shakespeare flavour only of course, no tragic ending cuz hey its a family friendly film!
