I have a new doctor. The main reason for this is that I can't find my old doctor. I knew she was moving her practice. The location near my home was cut back to one day a week back in 2007, and was walk-in only in 2008. Last year I had a series of surgeries. A good friend of mine says that I should speak at high schools and tell teenagers what happened to me. He says that none of the anti-STD talks he heard when he was in school bothered him, but if someone had told him then what I told him I went through, he would have "wrapped that rascal, twice."

I think that the pain yesterday came from me going 20 hours without taking anything. My pain level is usually around 4-5, dropping to 2-3 after taking the pills and slowly rising. I had gotten used to the idea that my baseline pain was 4-5 with spikes of 7-8 that I was willing to endure ( Read more... )

I've been feeling really well this week. Last Thursday I got the brilliant idea to make my underwear pull double duty and also serve to strap the suprapublic catheter to my belly. This has made it a lot easier to walk ( Read more... )

I went back to see the doctor yesterday. It was a lot of pain, although not as much as last time. And, some really good news. I'll tell you about the pain first, because it's more interesting, and good news always seems better after bad news.
