I love this one. I like that it's time-based (so, more journey-based than destination-based) and so open to different forms of fannishness, plus, imagining it in the peppy voice of automated promotion messages is, as the kids say, sending me. "thenewbuzwuzz, you enjoyed #omegaverse for 10 hours! :)"
What are your top five fandoms for 2021 based on the amount of time you interacted with them?
1. Critical Role
2. Buffyverse
3. ? Tolkien? (through fandom osmosis from Roselightfairy)
(*Spotify bot voice* "You watched nerdy-ass voice actors sit around and play D&D for more than 400 hours! That's more than an hour a day!")
What are your top five fandom spaces in terms of time spent?
1. YouTube
2. Dreamwidth
3. AO3
4. Tumblr
5. Pillowfort (because rarely as a fandom space)
What are the top five ways you interacted in these fandoms?
1. Watching 👀 (Just watching canon. Hitting "like" on YouTube and moving on to the next one. Reading the comments before each video as a fun little preview of the best moments.)
2. Newslettering
3. Reading fic + commenting
4. Writing
5. Making art
What are the top five things you did to contribute to fandom in terms of time?
1. Newslettering
2. Writing fic
3. Making art
4. Commenting
5. Meta
I'm pretty sure I did all my Contributing exclusively in the Buffy fandom last year, except for commenting on fic. The Critical Role fandom seems very active and pretty well-organized, and I feel like it doesn't need me, which is nice sometimes and also boring a lot of the time. I can go over there and almost disappear.
What things did you create that took the most time?
1. Newsletter posts
2. The story banner for Hannah (I spent time on it in 2021 even if I finished it early this year)
3. Chapters of my WIP
4. The Spuffy vidlets
5. Additions to my Buffyverse poetry bookmark collection
Bonus: Top 5 highly specific tropes I read, by no particular criterion
1. Arranged marriage IN SPACE
2. Hair braiding
3. Your Fave is on the Asexual or Aromantic Spectrum
4. The Mating Cycles and Heats of Various D&D Races
5. Characters who have Tails
