This is my thank-you gift to Hannah for her Fandom Trumps Hate 2021 donation.

The story is available on
EF and
AO3. It's close to fully posted and updates every couple of days. I think Hannah succeeded in writing a kidfic that is not like most (any?) other kidfics. :) I found it a pleasant, unhurried exploration of what it might be like to grow up as Spike and Buffy's child and be your own person with your own interests and goals (but in a world shaped by the events of BtVS and in the more or less frequent presence of some canon characters).
I don't think I've ever before made a banner for a story whose main character doesn't have a canonical face, so that was an interesting challenge. I decided to depict the bookshelf of Spike and Buffy's son Joe -- or, not quite his literal bookshelf, but a semi-metaphorical bookshelf of things that represent stages of his life, his interests and relationships. My hope is that someone who looks at the banner can do what Joe's girlfriend did in the story and "look over his bookcases and get to know those parts of him".
This will also be my fill for Snowflake Challenge #6 (Create Something). I've been creating this banner on and off for about seven months, but I finished it today. \o/
