June and July

 It's been awhile...

I joined twitter now, for my own shameless reasons, mostly involving the fact that I can "follow" Les Miles...he hasn't said much since the baseball team won, though. Hopefully that'll change during football season.

Since my last update: I moved into a new apartment, went to the beach for the 4th, and went to San Francisco.

Moving was "fun"...boiling hot, hard labor, and I hate how much crap I have to lug around (but I needs it)...but I like our new digs. There's a loft area that could theoretically be rented as a non-private third bedroom, although we the lease we signed says we can't. For now, it's going to be a guest area.

Beach was actually relaxing this year thanks to an influx in alcoholic beverage consumption, but you sorta need it to deal with my family (esp if they're drinking too).

San Fran was another welcome trip. We stayed with my dad's aunt (my great-aunt). First day was reserved for a "grand-tour" of the city, with trips to a hill overlooking the city, Chinatown, the Pacific Ocean, and finally the Golden Gate Bridge. Day two was used to go to a nearby theme park with plenty of roller coasters. Third day we went to tour both the Jelly Belly and Budweiser factories (free samples anyone?). On the last day, we returned to actual San Francisco to ride the cable cars, visit Fisherman's wharf, and watch a Giants game.

All in all, fun times in July. My birthday is Thursday and hopefully fun will be had, but I still have a busy two weekends ahead of me. Maybe August will be calmer? Probably not
