I'm keeping moderately busy as always. Plowing through episode after episode of Storage Wars is really taking up my time. Plus I think I'm going to dive headfirst into LA Complex soonish. And that Jeweled game on my phone keeps adding new and exciting levels. Busy busy.

I don't know how or why it happened but for the past year I've been cutting way back on my TV watching. And like with any consumption more exposure means more tolerance - and the reverse turns out to be true. * The Mist movie. Ugh - so much hate. Granted a lot of it was typical Stephen King (the heroic father, son named Billy, crazy Christian lady, sympathetic female who follows the heroic fathers, idiots who get their comeuppance etc.) but the ending really ruined it. ( Read more... )

First impression - two episodes in:

Life one Mars - the US version - isn't half bad. Esp. if you haven't seen too much of the original (I only saw 2-3 eps.) I get that it might be jarring for people who really loved the original but for the rest of us it's well made, with a great cast, doesn't take itself too seriously and looks poised to forge ( Read more... )

The first season of Greek I own on DVD isn't a season at all - it's the first "chapter". Which means half a season. I hate when they do that. I guess I'm downloading after all. For a show about vapid teenagers and their hormonal problems - Greek turns out to be a pretty good show. And surprised me by being both smart and laugh-out-loud funny. I've only seen three episodes so far but am looking forward to the rest.

Poor Gabriel. He's not had the best week. This time the antibiotics didn't really kick in and after getting initially a bit better he's been getting worse; not eating, sluggish and throwing up constantly. He's currently at the vet who's trying to figure out what's wrong with him. My co-workers have offered to solve the problem with a double barrel ( Read more... )

So the writer strike is over. You know I honestly barely noticed it was on. I love a lot of shows but my world doesn't end when they go off the air.

Still - nothing wrong with quality TV.
