Double Breasted Uncertainty

I pressed all the vest edges, and did the side seam in the outer fabric (the inner has to be whipped by hand). I'm almost tempted to not do any buttonholes before I bring it to my dad, because I've never made a double breasted vest before, and I have very little experience with large bellies, but I really want it done! And I guess that the buttonhole placement really isn't going to change, right? It would be the buttons that would change? Maybe I'll do the buttonholes, and just bring the buttons with me. We're all thinking of going to the PEERS dance when I'm down in CA next week, and I'd really love my dad to be able to wear this, especially since he didn't go to Dickens this year.

My goal for tomorrow is to topstitch the collar and armseyes, and to finish the side seams. But unfortunately, I work from 11am-6:30pm...
