No chibi monster at home this week, whats the plan?

It is time to stay away from Nashville this weekend, they got that god awful CMA fan thing (the event formerly know as "FanFair")

You think comic nerds meeting thier heroes dressed in cosplay are bad? Wait till you see 40 something fat housewives dressed as cowgirls finally getting wet enough to oooze for the first time in a decade over at the Billy Ray Cyrus table.... God damn there are alot of fucking Cowboy hats being worn by people who would bitch if they stepped in cowshit. Yeah nothing says I am tough as shit like wearing a 10 gallon hat that matches your Conway Twitty teeshirt!

I always hope maybe one year someone will pull a freak out move like Jack White.. and all the sudden the White Stripes will pop in with Loretta Lynn and give me some fucking reason why I might entertain the notion of wading through the morass of mediocrity. No such fucking luck.

I had thought about going to Metropolis this weekend, for a day... they have the Superman Celebration going on this weekend. I know Marv Wolfman and Steve Rude are supposed to be appearing at some events. But the online "schedule" for the weekend is very shoddy and bizzare... with my luck, I would just end up missing any of the comic related people there and end up at the dedication of the Lois Lane statue. At least they got a fucking casino there.... even if it is Harrah's.

Everyone knows I prefer to have my money stolen while I down the firewater at Native American owned casino's, just for the irony of it (and to allow our native friends some karmatic retribution on my lilly white ass).

So this probably means my weekend will consist of trying to avoid humanity as much as I can get by. You can drink just fine at home....

(Someone at work asked me if I went to that "reality show" convention they had in Nashvegas last week, someone at work needs to be shot... I have had my fill of reality reality, I sure don't want to see it on televison too)

metropolis, people suck, superman, nashville, country music
