tomarrow is the big election day, in rupert we are hoping that someone will get in to the city council with a backbone to stand up to a certain city adminstator. since we all know the current council and mayor own no such backbone. they are wanting to do a vote review this year... i think that the council is worried that they will get someone with a backbone which if that is the case then they will have to grow one too. the vote review makes me nervous its a very repliblcan thing to do to swing a vote, dicredit all votes that are for the democrats. all we now is people with guns telling us who to vote for. the review is open to the public i hope to go as to make sure the backbone party is not screwed over by the spineless party. the voting system in rupert has been in place for many years and yet there hasn't been a need for a better one... unless they are counting the fact that the mayor was reelected, but that wasn't due to voting system issues that was due to the city adminstator getting someone from his church to run so that there would be 2 people running againist the mayor and spilting the vote of people who wanted the mayor out. the city adminstator doesn't want to lose the current mayor as she has no backbone and will do what ever he says to do. we will see what happens.
