I'm writing this now from Virginia. My new job starts tomorrow and I'm pretty excited about it. Shenandoah National Park is a beautiful place and I just know things will go well. The cross-country drive to Virginia with my dad was uneventful, which is to say that it went very well. We had good weather all the way and saw plenty of the farming country that is the Midwest. After this trip, it is very interesting and exasperating to think about where the battle over gas prices is going these days and where it will end up. But world energy and food crises aside, I'm looking forward to my summer. I have a lot of things ahead of me and a lot of goals to start working on. I want to see a lot of places around, visit the graduate schools, visit Allison and friends lots, but I also need to refresh my studies for the fall and focus on my body, and finally get it to the place I want. I also want to start writing again--I've felt uninspired for too long, and need to get my writing skills back into shape. So, on to new things!
