Some books are inspirational. Others are intellectually stimulating or emotionally comforting. Then there are those juicy, mindless reads that are only good for a plane ride or the beach. Which books or authors fall under this last category?

We have a heatwave here in the Pacific NW. It's going to be 100 degrees for the next three days. It's too hot to sleep and I'm living on iced tea and food that doesn't require cooking. I am quite enjoying my day off, and I may go with my roommate D to help her friends build sets and props at a local theater (everyone took off for the holidays leaving D's friend the set designer and her hubby to finish everything), which is a unique way to spend X-Mas for sure.
