There was much more to Singapore !
Erica took me to a food court which had incredibly excellent noodles!
I had a little explore of Little India in the stifling heat
Loved the colours of these!
And a quick trip back to Bev and Chris' Wedding...
I was very honoured to be asked to be one of Bev's 'sisters'
in the morning tradition. It was a lot of fun! Chris and his 'brothers'
had to perform tasks and pay so he could get in to see his wife to be!
We made them eat sour, sweet, spicy and bitter foods :D
I treated myself to a stay at Raffles Town Club,
though I wouldn't have been able to if they didn't have a discount running!
Amazing breakfast! I chose all the stuff I can't normally have and it was GOOD!!!
Singapore Flier for
Christine's 30th birthday!
And a wonderful dinner at
Original Sin Absolut Penne with asparagus, button mushrooms, spinach, capsicum & onion, flamed with
Absolut vodka, sautéed in a pink sauced topped with shaved parmesan
and
Eggplant Masala ~ Baked eggplant topped with chickpeas and ricotta cheese,
spiced with garam masala in an aromatic tomato & fenugreek sauce, served with cous cous
Tofu patties with mushroom sauce,
- Alec and I had this and it was awesome!!
Yummy cake from Awfully Chocolate for Christine!!
Bev's cousin Amanda's and her husband's
Cookyn with Mervyn class
Twisted Asian Rojak Salad
Excellent mix of flavours!
We shucked oysters!! Gorgeous eggs!!
Puffed Oyster Egg Omelette, 'Orh Luak-Style'
So light and fluffy and perfect with the plump super-fresh oysters!

Kurobuta Pork Chop Hainanese-Style
The black pork was so tender and incredibly tasty!
Teh Haliak (Ginger-Milk Tea) Creme Brulee
This was yummy spiked with the ginger.
The day I was leaving Singapore, I was lucky to spend time with Bev's family!! Auntie Eileen gave
us coconut water and I tried durian and survived. It's kind of nice!!
