Tangled
I was going to go see it myself last night and well...I'm glad I didn't. Saw it with a friend tonight. Loved it. It may be my favorite Disney movie now which says a lot as the story of Beauty and the Beast is one that I have LOVED since I was about 4. It was beautiful and my brain accepted the huge changes to the Rapunzel story. I'm going to go with the fact that they named the movie something else that allowed my brain to not spaz out. Also, the music was by Alan Menken which I didn't know going into it but I was able to identify fairly early on. I love his music and while there are similar colorings, each movie is still unique.
I was afraid to see the movie because seeing relationships still catch me at the weirdest times. Unlike the original story, this wasn't about the love story but about bigger things.
I would write more but having been exhausted all day from the ocean of tears I cried last night and the fact that it's after 2am means I should stop now before I either start making absolutely no sense or start making so much sense that people fear that the end of the world is one hand.
