i've lived in paris for over four years, yet i the monthly air raid siren (first wednesday of every month at noon) have totally evaded me. just a minute ago i was mildly panicked, that in fact, maybe there was going to be an air raid of some sort! by then google came to my rescue and i read that paris tests its sirens every month since wwII. ok ( Read more... )

i have leaky pipes:  i noticed water dripping from a pipe on the side of my kitchen cabinets near my sink today. it's stressing me out...a lot. because here in france, nothing is simple, and nothing is cheap.
