Today is Brekke's birthday (she's 13), so RHDS and I had a bit of a party for her. She got a pouch of beef stew for dinner and carrot cake for dessert. Talk about a happy puppy! I am now the proud mother of a brown and white hamster named Pink. She is very sweet and pretty damn calm considering she just came home. Definitely not a biter and very easy going. We took Phelan back to Free Spirit today. While it was hard on all of us, we really feel like this was the right choice. Now she can be placed in a home where she's not getting yelled at all the time and shell be able to get the extra attention that she craves. I'm still sick. They still don't know what's wrong. It appears to not be an inner ear issue but an intestinal virus of some sort. More blood taken, more tests done. Can't go back to work until Tuesday, and this is assuming that the results of the additional blood tests that come back on Monday say it's ok. Whee. So we enrolled Phelan and Brekke in an obedience class. Last night was our first class with them. Brekke did fabulous, as expected since she has been in a class before, and Phelan did surprisingly well. I was proud of both my girls.
