Sickness and death

Mar 24, 2007 00:32

I'm still sick. They still don't know what's wrong. It appears to not be an inner ear issue but an intestinal virus of some sort. More blood taken, more tests done. Can't go back to work until Tuesday, and this is assuming that the results of the additional blood tests that come back on Monday say it's ok. Whee. Spent most of today sleeping, so now I'm awake. Go fig?

In other news that will be especially sad for bipagan and krkhst, Monty Python has slithered over the Rainbow Bridge. He came into my life in 1993, and I have no idea of his age at that time. When I got him, he had been wild-caught, was infested with ticks and didn't eat for almost a year. (I have since learned so much more about snake breeding practices thanks to him.) I hope he had a happy life with us. He was well loved by the RHDS who, as of this moment, does not yet know of Monty's passing since we discovered it after the kiddo went to bed. His death wasn't totally unexpected, since he hadn't been eating and had been pretty unresponsive. Hopefully he's currently slithering through field and forest now, eternally eating all the rodents killed by over loving small children.
