Several months ago, my family got a puppy named Elliott.

I recently corrupted my sister into Death Note fandom.

My dad also recently started calling the puppy "Ell" for short.

My sister objected to this, because when she hears "Ell", she thinks of L from Death Note.

Upon hearing this, I realized that I must start calling her that too.
