My God. Whoever first decided that term papers were a good idea should be shot, revived, then shot again.

It's not that this paper is hard. It's that it's boring me to tears. I can only pity my professor for having to read it.

There has been an absolute rash of academic dishonesty and knowledge-theft (read as: copying) at my college recently. People think it's alright to just jerk the paper or lab you're working on right out of your hands (occasionally quite literally in mid-sentence) and copy down your answers onto their own paper after having slept in class or ( Read more... )

So, I was reading about a period in Irish history known as the Troubles -- between 1960 and 1990, or so. From what I understand, it's when Northern Ireland was trying to split free of British rule or somesuch.
